Court was dealing with the following issues as challenged in these petitions
- Issue was related to the grace marks given by National Testing Agency to 1563 students as compensation for the time lost during exam.
- Issues were related to the paper leak and related malpractices.
- Issue was related to the early declaration of NEET-UG 2024 results.
- Issue was related to the fresh exams.
- Grace marks given to 1563 candidates issued on 4th June, 2024 will stand cancelled and withdrawn.
- “Actual marks” i.e., marks without compensation/grace will be counted as final marks to those 1563 candidates.
- These 1563 candidates will be given the opportunity of re-test/examination.
- Marks for students, who do not wish to re-appear in exam, will be declared as ‘actual marks’ i.e., marks without compensation/grace.
- Marks for students, who wish to re-appear in exam, will be considered and their earlier results will be discarded.
The Supreme Court was satisfied with the following suggestions and allowed the National Testing Agency to proceed with the following recommendations and conduct the re-test. The issue of the compensatory marks were closed and for other issues the respondent will file their response within two weeks.
