Judge sets Record, 148 cases decided in a day

Its only recently when a civil judge in Guntur scored a Nelson, deciding 111 cases in one day. Now a civil judge in Haryana has bettered the Guntur judges record and created a new benchmark.

Kaithal's additional district and sessions judge A K Shori disposed of 148 cases to clear some of the backlog. Even though the judge refused to talk to reporters, district Bar sources said 137 of the cases decided pertained to land acquisition.

Like his Guntur counterpart, Judge Shori too does not like pendency in court. On August 1 this year, he had decided 87 cases on a single day and a total 223 cases in that month.
