This book is a comprehensive writing on the Employees' Provident Funds Act. The current and the eighth edition of this book is an updated version incorporating all the amendments made to the Act and the Schemes. Chapter one of the book deals with the issues of applicability of the Act while the second chapter covers the employees under the Act and the Scheme. Chapter five of the book discussed the recovery of damages on default or late payment of contributions. In the next chapter, the Employees' Provident Funds Scheme and Employees Deposit Linked Insurance Scheme are briefly explained. Employees' Pension Scheme, 1995 is also dealt with in the book. In one of the chapters, the author explains the obligations of the employers under the Act and their compliance in order to avoid any punitive action. The author has also provided with a ready referencer to clarify the disputed or judicial aspects of the day to day use and are also supported with judicial interpretations. The ratios of the relevant decisions of t he Supreme Court and the High Courts are also incorporated in the book. The book will serve as a ready referencer to all the members, employers, labour advisors, advocates and the trade union leaders.
