Procedure: Lie on your stomach and place your chin on the floor. Place your feet close to each other with your palms flat on ground, on either side of your chest. Inhale and hoist yourself off the floor, with the body supported only by palms and toes. The knees and stomach should be lifted off the floor. Continue breathing normally while making the following adjustments. Arms should be straight; this deepens the arch at the lower back. Head tilts back, further deepening the arch. Hold this pose as long as comfortably possible, breathing normally. Release and relax to the starting position while exhaling.
Caution: Person with weak or injured wrists or lower back pain should not perform this pose.

Yercaud is a hill station near Salem, Tamil Nadu, in the Servarayan range (anglicized as Shevaroys) of hills in the Eastern Ghats. It has an orchidarium run by the Botanical Survey of India. Some of the original forests continue to exist in the Yercaud hills and contain several endemic species of plants and fauna. Wild life includes bison, deer, ant-eater, rabbits, hares, foxes, mongoose, squirrels, partridges, snakes, bulbuls, kites, sparrows, swallows and Paradise Flycatchers. The highest point in Yercaud is the Servarayan temple , which is situated at a height of 5326 feet. Hence the Yercaud hill area is called Shevaroy Hills. Lady's Seat is one of the best views that Yercaud promises. You get a panoramic view of the ghats and all the distant vehicles dwindling their way in and out of trees along the winding ghat road. You can have a closer view of the plains below with the help of the telescope mounted at the Lady's Seat. This view is spectacular at night with the twinkling lights of Salem town in sight. It gives a feeling of looking over a bed of twinkling diamonds and if you are lucky to have a moonlit night, nothing could be more romantic! Kiliyur Falls is a 90-feet high waterfalls situated amidst picturesque surroundings in Yercaud. Akasagangai waterfalls on Kolli hills is known for medicinal herbs and plants. Bear's Cave is situated near the Norton Bungalow on the way to Servarayan Temple. It is an important tourist spot worth the visit. One of the important places here is the Pagoda point . The Pagoda Point is so known because a number of pyramid-like structures abound here. The Anjaneya temple is believed, by the locals, to be very powerful. One can get a full view of Salem from here. The one kilometre lake is surrounded by trees all round. It is a pleasurable experience to go boating in this lake. Right on top of the hill stands the Servarayan temple inside a cave and one has to bend and go in. If one walks down from the Temple, one reaches Killiyur falls . Water falls from a height of 300 m. Next to the Servarayan temple is the Raja Rajeswari Amman temple . The massive Rajarajeswari idol is installed in a sitting posture, and is 4.5 feet tall. There is also the Jothi Samadhi ashram. Mettur Dam generates power out of the river Kaveri . The best time to spot the river is around evening 3 0' clock onwards when the sun's rays reflect off the river waters. Yercaud is the best tourist spot for recharging your senses and the visit to Yercaud provides an enchantment in your life!
