KLE Society's Law College , Bangalore was established in 1975. The college has created and maintained an academic atmosphere that enables a student's growth to the fullest extent. The Faculty Members are committed academicians with teaching experience and participation in various orientation courses, refresher courses, including several regional, state and national level seminars and conferences. In addition, experienced advocates are invited on regular basis as guest faculties to teach procedural laws and practical subjects. The college has spacious classrooms, well equipped with OHP facilities for interactive teaching, spacious staff room, moot court hall, a very well stocked library, computer laboratory and other facilities. Sports and extra-curricular activities too are facilitated to ensure that a student who enters the College portals, leaves as a competent legal professional as well as a well-rounded human.
The College offers Three year and Five year LL.B. Programmes under semester scheme. The College also offers various Certificate Courses.
Three year LL.B. course
The candidate should possess a Bachelor's Degree from Bangalore University or any other University recognized as equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% of total marks in case of SC and ST applicants) in all the Degree examinations put together. Admission to the course is made strictly on the basis of merit.
Five year LL.B. course
The candidate should have passed PUC or 10+2 pattern. Additionally, any academic qualifications which are considered equivalent to such 10+2 courses by the Bar Council of India are also eligible. The selection of the meritorious students is done on the basis of their credentials and personal interview. Minimum percentage of marks in qualifying examination shall not be below 45% (40% of total marks in case of SC and ST applicants).
To boost confidence, develop and inculcate the legal skills in students to win the battle in the lawyering profession, the college every year conducts Inter-class Moot Court Competition to select the students "Panel of Mooters", to facilitate them to participate in various National and State level Moot Court Competitions.
Legal Awareness Programme
To spread legal awareness among common people, faculty members and students of K.L.E. Law College conducts legal awareness programmes in different degree and Pre-University colleges and cyber cafes in and around Bangalore . Under the said programme, students are trained to give guest lectures on different legal topics.
The Library is housed with 15362 volumes of Books and Back volumes. Of these 2211 are Back volumes of Journals and Reporters. The Library procures 91 periodicals including 10 newspapers. Of these 14 are Reporters, 44 Journals and remaining are the magazines. The Library has bar-coded all the books and reference materials. It has an automated circulation system. The Library has also provided OPAC (Open Public Access Catalogue) to search the library books, research materials, periodicals and to learn more about the library. The Library also provides photocopying facility. The Library is an active member of the Shri Narayana Rao Melgiri Library, National Law School of India University, Bangalore , to facilitate students for higher research. E - Library which is at par with all new technological developments is installed with 13 computers. To facilitate the legal research, Internet and regularly updated software facilities are extended to each system.
Qualified and experienced Faculty, use of audio-visual aids for facilitated learning, close attention to the students, periodical Tests and Assignments, regular interaction with the parents and feed back about the performance of their wards, Moot Courts, Court visits, Internships, Client Counseling Competitions and many other simulation exercises to equip the skills of the profession, publication of College magazine Chiguru provides an opportunity to explore the talents of the student. Mentor Cell - the Career Guidance Cell of the College provides ample opportunities for internship and placements for the desiring and deserving students.
