The National Law University, Jodhpur is an institution of national prominence established under the National Law University, Jodhpur, Act, 1999 (Act No. 22 of 1999) enacted by the Rajasthan State Legislature. It is one of the first institutions in India to offer degrees viz. B.B.A., LL.B. (Hons.); B.A., LL.B. (Hons.); and B.Sc., LL.B. (Hons.) at the undergraduate level. The compulsory subjects prescribed by the Bar Council of India are taught from a comparative perspective with emphasis on the interface between law and management / finance / science / economics. At the postgraduate level, the University offers M.B.A.; LL.M. / M.B.L.; M.B.A. in Insurance; LL.M. with specialisation in International Trade; M.A. / M.Sc. in Constitutional Governance; LL.M. IPR / M.IPR; and M.B.F. Apart from the aforesaid courses, the University also encourages scholars to undertake the Ph.D. Program. The University has also entered into various pacts with globally acclaimed universities abroad which includes student and faculty exchange programs.

B.P.Sc., LL.B. (Hons.)
Bachelor of Policy Science has been designed in accordance with the changing nature of socio-economic conditions of the society. This is based on new developments in the wake of Liberalization and Globalization, which has led to the expansion of market-forces and the new kind of demand coming on the fore.
LL.M. (Corporate Laws) , LL.M. (IPR and Technology Law), M.B.A. (Insurance) and Master of Science (Insurance) are the various postgraduate courses.
The University offers registration for advanced research and Ph.D. Program in various disciplines. Research opportunities are offered in multi-disciplinary and inter-disciplinary spheres including Biotechnology, IPR, Economics, Political Science, Management and various spheres of Law.
The Library has a collection of more than 10,000 books. The library subscribes to more than a 100 Indian and foreign journals ranging from subjects like law to specializations like forensic science, psychology and ethics. The library also subscribes to online services from Westlaw, J-stor and Manupatra. Library services are fully automated with SOUL software with bar-code enabled technology.

All the classrooms in Halls of Learning are fully air-conditioned, equipped with LCD projectors, wi-fi connectivity and adequate acoustics to enable the students garner a fruitful learning experience.
Moot Court Halls
NLU has well equipped Moot Court Halls to familiarize students with the court room atmosphere long before their actual arrival on the legal scene.
Halls of Residence
The University mandates students' residence within its campus and has sprawling Halls of Residence for boys and girls separately.
Faculty Quarters and Guest House
Adequate facility for accommodation is also provided to all the Faculty members and fully furnished staff quarters are available on campus.

The Wi-Fi campus is built on the lines of some of the best law schools in the world with a broad range of dedicated facilities.
To cater to the recreational requirements of young learners, the University provides various indoor and outdoor sports facilities like Volleyball, Football, Cricket, Badminton, Table-Tennis, Lawn Tennis.
The University publishes its own multi-disciplinary bi-annual research journal ideally named as "Scholasticus" and seeks contributions from various experts and researchers in multifarious realms of knowledge. The University also publishes a Journal on "Trade, Law and Development" . It is an exclusively students' journal. Another important work filled with intellectual output is the Journal on "Governance" . It is meant to further the objective of creating responsible and well governed society.
