An International Conference on Mobile Law was organised at New Delhi on March 1 and 2, 2012, in which deliberations were made on various subjects pertaining to mobile law. The main thrust of the Conference was to unravel and discover various legal, regulatory and policy challenges impacting the mobile ecosystem as well as usage and adoption of mobiles and communication devices.
The Conference further aimed to collate various perspectives from different stakeholders who are all contributing towards the further growth, strengthening and maturity of the mobile environment and the digital ecosystem. The Conference also unravelled some emerging legal and policy challenges that have been raised with the usage of the mobile devices.
The Conference provided an opportunity for the delegates and speakers as also the representatives from the international and national Diaspora representing the stakeholders in the digital ecosystem and the Alive Web. These representatives included the central and state governments, various ministries, law enforcement agencies, police, business community, information technology, corporate sector, academicians, scholars, service providers, international organisations and distinguished experts. The Conference was organised by well-known Supreme Court lawyer, Pavan Duggal, who is an authority on cyber law and e-commerce law. Pavan Duggal is also the President of MobileLaw.Net.
