OP Jindal University to train IAS officers

The National Institute of Administrative Research (NIAR) of the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie, which trains Indian Administrative Service officers, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with OP Jindal Global University, Haryana for joint research, teaching and exchange of faculty.

The MoU signed by NIAR Director-General Dr. Kush Verma and OP Jindal Global University Vice-Chancellor Prof. C. Raj Kumar on May 25 also covers hosting of visiting academic delegations, development of research centres, organisation of conferences and promoting scholarship through publication.

"We are already working with the National Police Academy, Hyderabad," Kumar said.

He added: "The MoU with LBSNAA has been built upon the existing relationship of JGU with the National Police Academy and evolving collaborative arrangements with the Foreign Service Training Institute, the CBI Academy and other similar national institutions."

The latest MoU lays the basis for JGU and its four schools to work closely with LBSNAA in a variety of training and research initiatives, Kumar said.
