Prof. Mool Chand Sharma Awarded


Prof. Mool Chand Sharma, Vice-Chancellor of the Central University of Haryana is amongst very small selected number of individuals who were conferred award for their outstanding contribution in their respective fields by the Headlines Today. It was cited while conferring the award that Prof. Mool Chand Sharma represents a unique combination of being a serious thought activist, committed scholar and one of the most popular law teachers in the country on one side and the qualities he brings along with him of being one of very fine, sensitive and visionary education administrator, demonstrated in various capacities including Director, National Law Institute University, Bhopal (NLIU); Vice-Chairperson, University Grants Commission (UGC); Research Advisor , National Human Rights Commission (NHRC); Expert Law Advisor, Law Commission of India and as a Vice-Chancellor, on the other. His role in introducing Central Law Admission Test at the national level and designing of multi-disciplinary curriculum in different disciplines, apart from his work on higher education and diversity, poverty alleviation and constitutional jurisprudence, was specially highlighted.
