Lalit Bhasin, Founder and Managing Partner, Bhasin & Co., has been unanimously elected as the Regional President of the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC) for the term 2012-13.

With his appointment as Regional President of IACC, the only bi-lateral chamber addressing Indo-US economic and partnership issues, IACC has reaffirmed its commitment towards establishing a strong legal framework between India and the US so that it can advance the business interface and partnership between the two countries, and their respective industries.

“I am honoured that the members of IACC have reposed their faith in me. I have always worked with vigour towards the objectives of the organization and will continue to do so. In my previous role at IACC, I have been actively working towards creating better awareness and understanding of the legal and regulatory framework between India and US. As an active member of the Chamber, he led a high-profile delegation to Plano, Texas (USA) to participate in the Conference on ‘Doing Business in India: a Practical Guide for Lawyers and Business Leaders’. He also chaired IACC’s flagship event “Indo-US Economic Summit” twice.

Mr. Bhasin began his law practice in 1962 and has established Bhasin & Co. as one of the largest law firms in North India.
